HMS: POSITIVE CHANGE FOR A BETTER TOMORROW

Handy is undergoing a comprehensive change to better prepare students for high school, college and career success. Above is an overview of these changes. See how we are making a positive change for a better tomorrow by watching our HMS redesign video series

Dr. Moore's Messages

Summer has certainly flown by. School starts this Tuesday, August 20th. We are beyond excited to welcome our students back!
Handy opens to students at 7:00 and classes begin at 7:20. We provide a free breakfast (and lunch) to all students. Students arriving between 7:00 and 7:10 are offered a hot breakfast in the cafeteria. Students arriving after 7:10 will be offered a bagged breakfast.

ALL students should double check Skyward on Monday afternoon for their class schedule. Adjustments may have been made as we get new registrants.
Bay City Public Schools Board of Education Policy prohibits the use of personal electronic devices during the entire school day at the middle school level. This applies to cell phones AND all wireless ear-pods or headphones. These devices must be secured in students' lockers during the school day or left home. Corded headphones will be provided when needed, or students may bring corded headphones from home.
Picture day is this Thursday, August 22nd for all students. 6th Graders who were not able to attend orientation will be able to have their pictures taken at this time as well.
Here is an updated guide to pick up and drop off.
We are all looking forward to seeing you soon!
