Dr. Moore's Messages
Good afternoon Wildcat Families!
It's hard to believe we are already in October! We are looking forward to Student-Led conferences on October 24. Students will be taking an active role in the conference process this year. This week the students will begin preparing for the conferences by reflecting on the year so far and writing goals for the future. We are excited to see our students show agency and take the lead in demonstrating and guiding their learning. More information on conferences will be coming soon.
Picture retakes will be this Tuesday, October 3rd.
Our Career Connections program has been pushed back a week. We will be starting next week. Tuesdays and Thursdays in October we will take 7th/8th grade students to the Career Center who are interested in the following programs: Culinary Arts, Welding, and Careers in Education. Sign-up sheets are in the front office. There is a limit of 12 students per program area.
The next Booster Club meeting is next Tuesday October 10th at 6:30 in the media center
Book Fair will be held from October 23-27. We need parent volunteers that are willing to work from 7:30-2:00. We provide lunch and a free book each day. Volunteer forms are required. Please reach out to townd@bcschools.net if you are interested. Go Wildcats!
Monday both of our girls basketball teams play. 8th is at home and the 6th/7th team is at White Pine Middle in Saginaw. Our 7th Grade football team plays Tuesday at Central High School. Wednesday our 8th Grade football team plays at Central High School. Thursday both of our girls basketball teams play again. 8th is at home and the 6th/7th team is at Northeast Middles School in Midland. On Saturday, cross country will compete in Saginaw. Please check out the Wildcats Athletics Page for a full calendar and details.
Take care,
Dr. Moore
